I absolutely love being a Real Estate Broker. It truly is my passion. I’ve really enjoyed helping clients buy their first home, upgrade to a larger home for their growing family, downsize to a smaller home once their children have left, sell their home to embark on a move OUT of our area, relocate the Triangle, or purchase a vacation home or an investment property. When I’m not working directly with the families I serve, I’m usually surfing the MLS online, touring homes, in training classes, watching real estate TV shows, reading real estate books, working on projects at my house, or talking with my friends about the home improvement projects they’re tackling.

I believe that home ownership has the power to transform lives and stabilize families – and that’s why I’m active with Habitat for Humanity. I donate 5% of my earnings from each transaction to Habitat for Humanity in the county of the home that is bought or sold.

COMMUNITY TRAINING

2007 Graduate of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce's Foundation for a Sustainable Community Leadership Program. Leadership is an 11-week program designed to provide participants with an in-depth look at our community including government, the university, healthcare, crime, and economic development. Participants are also challenged to develop their leadership skills by participating in a full-day ropes course and leadership camp, and by attending various coaching sessions to develop skills. Other tasks required for graduation included riding along with a Chapel Hill Police Officer on patrol for 3 hours, taking public transportation, and attending Town of Chapel Hill public hearings. I was very proud to be part of the 2007 class, which when tasked with raising $500 for a local non-profit, put together a event at the Carolina Inn which featured a performance by DSI Comedy Theater and a silent auction and raised more than $14,400!

2008 Graduate of the Durham Neighborhood College. Jointly sponsored by the City of Durham and the County of Durham, the 10-week training program provides interactive sessions facilitated by a variety of department heads and officials with a goal to provide participants with a wealth of information to empower them to play a more active role in their neighborhoods and the community at large.
